### The Challenge

The client was experiencing a combination of technical and content-related SEO challenges that were limiting their organic performance. Core Web Vitals were underperforming due to thousands of oversized image instances, significantly impacting page speed. Additionally, critical business pages were being randomly de-indexed by Google due to misconfigured X-Robots tags, resulting in unstable visibility. Our audit also revealed inefficient crawl budget usage and missed opportunities in on-page SEO, such as weak metadata across regional sites and diluted authority due to excessive outbound linking to non-affiliated domains.

### The Solution

We began with a comprehensive page speed audit, identifying and optimizing 1,692 unique images over 400KB, directly improving Core Web Vitals. By diagnosing and resolving the X-Robots misconfiguration, we enabled steady re-indexation of high-value pages. We further optimized crawl efficiency and preserved SEO equity by selectively no-following outbound links to non-Cochlear sites.
